This is my go-to recipe for marinara, adapted only slightly from Budget Bytes. Mixes up a great single batch, but if you mix up a quadruple, you get at least six quart Mason jars to put up.
About six hours to put up eight batches is enough to keep us in marinara for a year - super tasty and super inexpensive, too!
We had some leftover blueberries, so we added them to what blackberries we could pick and ended up with a mighty tasty jelly! I love happy accidents :)
I lost my recipe for Blueberry Rhubarb Jam. I know I had it somewhere handy, because I wanted to make it as soon as I had blueberries ... and it disappeared. Okay, Google to the rescue, right?
This makes an extremely flavorful, slightly mellow but not too sweet jelly. Best with organic berries.
15 cups chopped strawberries (about 5 lbs)
7 1/2 cups sugar, divided
This looks like a good starting recipe for canned salsa. Now to find one for ketchup, to go with my excellent recipe for canned marinara ...
I've made cakes in jars before - this looks so much more fun & party-like :)
A recipe I definitely want to try; looks yummy, inexpensive and good for canning or freezing.
